Maybe your pet is a social butterfly and will enjoy the playroom filled with enrichment activities and friends. Play Groups are only divided by size of dog A behaviorist will evaluate each dog and group them based on personality, energy level and socialztion so that all our guests can have safe and happy interactions. Maybe your furry bestie likes it a bit lower key? Our exclusive “Family Room” is the perfect spot to relax, maybe stretch out on the comfy couch and watch a movie. And don’t forget about our large fenced areas complete with play equipment where your bestie will be entertained, exercised and fulfilled. After a full day of play and interaction, pups will enjoy their own private spacious kennels. Dexie’s Doghouse kennels are spacious and comfortable and equipped with elevated orthopedic chew proof beds to make sure our guests are comfortable, happy and healthy.
Meet Jenny, Owner of Dexie’s Dog House
Jenny
Jenny has been deeply involved in dog rescue since 2017, fostering dogs for multiple shelters and rescues. She has studied a variety of training methods, taken numerous behavioral and training classes, and explored many theories of dog behavior. Through her hands-on work, she has applied a wide range of approaches and solutions with hundreds of dogs.
What truly sets Jenny apart is her enormous, kind heart and genuine love for dogs—her passion for animals is unmatched. For challenging cases, Jenny collaborates with a network of local trainers and behaviorists to develop creative, effective solutions. Her expertise and insight are highly respected within the local dog rescue community. Committed to staying at the forefront of canine care, she continues ongoing training and research to ensure she brings the most current knowledge and best practices to every dog she works with.

Nathan – Manager
Nathan’s passion for dog wellness shines through in everything he does. With deep commitment to every dog in our care, he ensures each guest’s needs are met—from daily feedings and enrichment activities to walks, training, and ongoing behavior education. An emerging pillar in the canine community, Nathan also manages our part-time staff, fostering a positive environment and growth mindset throughout the team.
Myra – Staff
Myra’s compassion for animals has been lifelong. Growing up with pets and volunteering in the rescue world from a young age, she has developed a deep understanding of animal care. Myra is our in-house cat whisperer, devoted dog lover, hamster sitter, and a passionate advocate for animals of all kinds
Cala – Office Manager
Cala is the friendly face behind the scenes at Dexie’s Dog House, ensuring everything runs smoothly for our staff, clients, and their furry friends. A lifelong dog lover, Cala often brings her own pup, Pixie, who is a frequent guest at Dexie’s, adding even more love to our environment. With a passion for organization, communication, and animals, Cala loves being part of a team dedicated to caring for dogs and making sure every guest feels like part of the Dexie’s family.
Mackenzie – Staff
Mackenzie has a lifelong love for animals, having owned dogs and volunteered extensively in rescue work. She is dedicated to advocating for all animals and brings that passion to every guest at Dexie’s Dog House. Mackenzie shares her life with her dog, Chole, who is famous for her big, happy smile!
